If you have some pictures or if you would like to tell your own Charleston mission trip story, e-mail them to me at christopher (at) tbcsullivan (dot) com and I will post them.

Of course you will need to change the at and dot and quish everything together.

A Little Prayer Request

Today we went to a children's daycare. The first half of the day we tutored the children, doing simple math, reading to them, and other similar things. After lunch was play time for the kids. I noticed one of the kids (very sociable throughout the day) was off by himself. I prayed that if God wanted me to talk to this kid (Isaiah) He was going to need to present a clear opening. After saying the last word of this prayer silently Isaiah came up to me and pointed to a van nearby telling me it was the van he went to church in, which was a clear opening to talk to him about church and Christ. Though he was confused about a couple of things, it was clear that God is working in and through him. I gave him a track and made him promise me that his father would go through it with him when he got home. I pray that God works through him to bring the love of Christ to his family and his friends.

God Through Erin's Eyes

Hey Temple! This is Erin, though it says this post was made by Evette! (I have forgotten my password since I haven't posted an entry in quite awhile!) Chris asked me to type up a little somethin' for you all at home who are wondering what wonderful things we are up to here in Charleston. So far, this is the best M-Fuge experience I have had with the youth group, even though I am no longer a "youth". As a college student on this trip, I have had the honor of being somewhat of a leader in my small group here. I am in the creative ministry track for the first time, and wish I would have chosen this track in previous years! We have visited 3 nursing homes so far, and one city park where a children's day camp was taking place. I love working with the elderly: sitting down and talking, playing cards, and listening to their various life stories has been quite an experience! At the very first nursing home we visited, Evette and I found a man named Frank who wanted to find the truth of the gospel once and for all. We talked to him for quite awhile and at the end of our conversation, he prayed the prayer of salvation and accepted Jesus into his heart! You see, this was on my Birthday, so it was a very special moment for me. At lunch, my track group sang Happy Birthday to me and our newly born Christian brother Frank. Please pray for him as he begins his new journey in Christ. I could go on with several more stories concerning how God is working, but I will save those for when I come home. Thank you for your prayers for us this week! Wonderful God things are happening all around this city because of your obedience!

Evette's M-Fuge Entry

God has been moving! Erin Eaton and I are in the same ministry track, Creative, and we led an older gentleman to Christ on our first day in the field. I say 'we' due to the fact that I planted the seed and Erin gathered the harvest. It was awesome! You see, it was Erin's 20th birthday and that was one of her prayers, that she get to talk to someone about Jesus. Not only did she get to talk to someone, she had the honor of leading that someone to Christ! It doesn't get much better than that.

Every person I've talked to since the 'tag-team salvation experience' is already born-again Christians, and there have been many. It blesses my heart to talk to fellow brothers and sisters in Christ from other areas of the country. We have a common bond that nothing can break . . . JESUS CHRIST!

The week is flying by and we only have one more day left in our ministry tracks. Based on the way God has been working, it should be just as awesome as the last 3 days have been, if not more.
