Days Three Through Five

Sorry! We of course have had a busy week. As you can tell by the time stamps at the bottom of the page, these entries are made late at night, after a very tiresome day of activities, so please excuse any typos. CW

JD Huitt here. Chris has asked me to type a short dealie on the goings on over the past few days although I'm afraid that what I have to say won't do justice to the experiences that we have had.

Over the past three days, the youth and adult leadership (and a few castaway college students) have been serving in one of five mission fields. These include childrens ministry, construction, social, creative, and games and recreation. I can say that this is the most focused, hard working, servant minded group that I have seen in the 7 years that I have been doing missions through Temple Baptist Church. They have worked hard in hottest temperatures on minimal sleep and have done it all without complaint. I hope that you are as proud of this group as I have been to serve with them. God has been working in great ways to both promote the growth of the individuals in our group and to spread the gospel this week. I'm excited to see what God has in store for us as a youth group and as a church in the coming months. I'm also excited to share our experiences with you in a more personal way through our presentation on Sunday night (that was my subtle hint for you to come).

It's getting late and we still have a day of misson work left, so I'm going to cut this short. I apologize for the vagueness of what's been going on here in Nashville, but I'm looking forward to sharing with you in more detail when we come back. Thank you for your support in your prayers and in your financial contributions that have gone to help fulfill the Great Commission. We'll see you in a few days.

JD
